With Scottish Opera for All, William was an actor-singer in a children's version of Wagner's Rhinegold called Alberic's Curse. William has assisted in a number of projects exploring the close relationship of drama and singing, and is in demand as a choral coach with choirs, festivals and music courses.
William was vocal coach to Strathclyde University Choir and the National Youth Choir of Scotland until his recent move to Birmingham, where he has been working as a singing teacher and choral specialist with Birmingham Music Service. He is also visiting singing teacher at Bromsgrove School.
With the Leicestershire Chorale he was resident artist in a number of schools in a project to encourage boys' singing, leading to a performance of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. He is choral coach for the Canford Summer School of Music choral course.
"I just wanted to say a big thank you for coming to work with the Plantsbrook choir and for directing them in the concert. I have had a lot of positive feedback about how confidently the choir sang and also about the range of music and part-singing that you taught them in such a short space of time."
